Longhorn

Just to prove that I too, count, and that I too can shamelessly write about Longhorn even though its at least 2 years away from release and the previews currently floating around have got sweet nothing to do with what will actually be released, here are my longhorn screenshots. Woot.

Fig1. The obligatory screenshot of the login screen with my name on it. Notice how its my name and no one elses so you can be sure this really is my long horn content, and that i am obviously a playa because not only do i have a copy of the preview (at least my copy is legit) but I actually know how to create a user account that uses my name. Fear my hacking skills.

Fig 2. The boot up screen. Because I'm sure it won't change between now and final release or anything like that. Bill Gates himself told me that was true. Or maybe it was Steve Ballmer. Or maybe I made it up. Who knows?

The also obligatory over-sized screenshot of the desktop. Which again I'm sure won't change before final release or anything even though this build of Longhorn doesn't include the final GUI/UI elements at all. Notice how the internet explorer window in the screenshot actually has a picture of my website, just so you know how l33t it is that I have the beta.

Right, now thats out of the way, perhaps we can get on with talking about operating systems that exist outside of a laboratory now.
