Pear PC links

There is quite a community grown up around Pear PC. I'd be somewhat ignorant not to link out to at least some of these guys when they've done a lot of hard work on making Pear PC what it is and all I've done is write an article.

Of course, the first link has to be to the Pear PC project homepage itself!

PearPC.net is the community site for Pear PC. And it has its own Forum!

richardgoodwin.com has some more builds of PearPC - these are well worth a look but are not official builds and you're on your own if you try them - though they do work for me!

Moving on to Apple themselves.

Apple have a large amount of links that are dedicated to helping the keen OS X user get the most from their purchase, and its a good starting place for utilities to try out on our new PearPC install.

Make sure you visit Apple's Software downloads page. This pulls together many interesting apps and utilities from Apple and other suppliers, a good number of which are free or have a shareware / evaluation version you can download right away.

Apple Support is online here - got a question about OS X? They've got answers.

Apple's support section has its own downloads area for OS updates and enhancements. You'll probably want to grab the most recent update for your OS from here.

Like PearPC so much you want to buy a real Apple? Then visit the hardware store and drool over the Mac Mini, or maybe just copy me by ordering an iBook.

Lastly, Apple's Darwin homepage. Darwin is part of the core components of OS X and is available as a free, open source, download as a separate operating system entirely. If you don't know what all this means after visiting this page then I suggest you steer clear of this download for a while!

General OS news.

If you're open minded enough to enjoy Pear PC, you might appreciate the OS news website's news feed on news and views of different operating systems.
